🚗 From Engineer to MOC Designer
How a Wish from My Son Changed Everything

My name is Waldi, I’m 38 years old, living in Germany with my family – and I work as a control systems engineer in cryogenic and vacuum technology, particularly in the fascinating world of particle accelerators.

I’ve always been passionate about technology, details, and systems – both professionally and personally. Then one day, my little son came to me with a simple but decisive question:

“Daddy, can you build me a Transformer figure?”

Of course I could. And so – with a wide grin and a lot of heart – Bumblebee was created in 8-stud width.
The sparkle in his eyes was the beginning of something I didn’t fully realize at the time.

A few days later, the next challenge came from my daughter:

“Daddy, can you build our car?”

And I said: “Why not?”
I set out to recreate our BMW F30, brick by brick – without instructions, but with lots of passion, precision, and my engineer’s heart that loves every little detail.

🏁 From Family Project to Real MOC Design
I discovered tools like Stud.io, dove into the world of digital models – and started recreating my favorite racing games from childhood and youth as MOC builds.
Gran Turismo, Need for Speed, Forza – all the cars that once fascinated me returned.
This time not on screen, but in physical form – brick by brick.

Over time, my designs became more complex, more detailed, and more original.
Famous race drivers featured and shared my MOCs – and I realized:
There is a community that loves exactly what I do.

All crafted with true passion – attention to detail, high engineering precision, and the desire to bring childhood and design dreams to life.

Today I live with my wonderful wife, our two children, and our dog.
They give me strength and inspiration every day – and sometimes completely new ideas.
Because it all started with a simple question from my kids.
And turned into an entire world.
